This Privacy Policy explains what LIVIN Media, a Wyoming limited liability company (“LIVIN Media,” “we,” “us”), which operates LIVIN.in (the “Service”), collects from members, how we use it, and the choices you have. It works alongside our Terms of Service. LIVIN.in is for adults 18 and older.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your email, first name (optional), and home city.
- Date of birth: required to confirm you are 18 or older and, if you opt in, to power birthday features (see §3).
- Your city relationships: whether you live in, are moving to, or are visiting a city (LIVIN / MOV / VISIT), and related details you choose to add (such as a move timeline).
- What you tell LIVI: messages, interests, plans, and preferences you share with LIVI, our AI host, plus content you post (comments, saves, vouches, photos).
Information we collect automatically
- Visit data: the page you viewed, the referring URL, your device type, an anonymized IP fingerprint, and a session identifier — used to run and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- Verify eligibility — confirm you are 18 or older.
- Run your account and tune the Service to your cities (your feed, your Market Mayor, local places and events).
- Provide birthday offers, if you opt in (see §3).
- Personalize with LIVI, if you opt in (see §4).
- Connect you with a Market Mayor, if you opt in (see §5).
- Respond to inquiries, maintain safety and moderation, and improve the Service.
3. Date of birth & the Birthday Offer Program
We use your date of birth for two purposes: (1) to verify that you are 18 or older, and (2) if you opt in, to determine your birthday window and show you a birthday offer from an MVP Partner in your home city. If you choose to redeem an offer, the participating MVP Partner receives only what is needed to honor that redemption — not your full profile or your exact date of birth. Birthday features are optional and you can opt out at any time in your settings. We treat your date of birth as sensitive: we do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.
4. LIVI (AI) personalization
LIVI is our AI host. If you turn on AI personalization — an optional, off-by-default choice at sign-up and in your settings — LIVI uses what you tell it (such as your city, interests, and plans) to tailor what it shows and suggests to you. If you leave it off, LIVI still helps you, but does not retain your inputs to build a personalized profile. We do not use LIVI to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you by solely automated means, and we do not sell your inputs or use them for third-party advertising. You can turn personalization off at any time.
5. Sharing with Market Mayors
Each LIVIN.in city is hosted by a Market Mayor. We share your information with a Market Mayor only if you opt in to a Mayor handoff (for example, when you tell us you’re moving and ask to be connected). In that case, the Market Mayor for the relevant city receives the details you chose to share so they can help you. Handoff consent is off by default, is specific to each city relationship, and you can withdraw it at any time.
6. How we share information (generally)
- MVP Partners: only as needed to provide an offer you choose to engage with (see §3).
- Market Mayors: only with your handoff opt-in (see §5).
- Service providers: vendors who host and operate the Service under contract and may process data only on our instructions.
- Legal & safety: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not run ads on the Service.
7. Your choices & rights
You can edit your city relationships, toggle birthday features, toggle LIVI personalization, and withdraw Mayor-handoff consent in your settings — or close your account at any time.
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of it (we do not sell, and do not share for cross-context advertising). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email privacy@livin.in; we respond within the time the law requires.
8. Retention & security
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to run the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements — then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect it; no system is perfectly secure.
9. Children
LIVIN.in is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and our sign-up blocks under-18 registration. If we learn we have collected information from someone under 18, we delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact privacy@livin.in.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will post the updated Policy with a new “Last updated” date or notify you in the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
