Agapao and The Mud Hut
Agapao Coffee & Tea (The Mud Hut) is at 105 East Marcy Street, Suite C, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87501. At Agapao's downtown shop, a black sign under the portal reads Really Good Coffee, and a hanging sign reads The Mud Hut Coffee. The Agapao building has a wooden portal with posts, a second-story balcony with a spindle railing, red chile ristras and an agave plant.
Agapao Coffee and Tea was born in Santa Fe, NM in 2005 out of a love for coffee and a vision to acknowledge all people involved in the chain of distribution, from the farmers who harvest the crops to the patron enjoying their beverage. Under the guidance of their master roaster, Agapao selects coffees to create their signature single origin coffees and proprietary blends. Agapao Coffee & Tea is run by coffee roaster Dave Black and his family, and also has a drive-thru in Midtown.
Inside Agapao, a large round sign with a decorated skull reads Agapao Coffee, For the Love, Santa Fe New Mexico, Drink Local Coffee. A chalkboard at Agapao lists The Mud Hut Local Favorites: El Jefe, double espresso, oat milk, honey and cinnamon; Oat Lavender; Pistachio Mocha; White Chocolate Raspberry; and Cold Brew, dark, rich and packs a punch. The Agapao counter has a red wall, a coffee grinder full of beans, a basket of pastries and a bunch of bananas. The Mud Hut serves grab-n-go burritos and snacks alongside its roasted coffee. A second chalkboard at Agapao lists drinks including Shot in the Dark, Breve, Flat White, Cafe Au Lait, Cortado, Dirty Chai and Lemonade, plus 12 oz bags of whole bean coffee. Palace Modern guests can enjoy Agapao coffees with light snacks in their room or under Agapao's welcoming portal.
